Laurens van der Tang, Chief Executive Officer
CEO of VitalHealth Software. Extensive experience in the global software industry. President of enterprise software company Baan from 2000 while Baan was part of Invensys, a €400 million business. Member of the Baan Management Board from 1990 - 2000, responsible for global product development. Involved in healthcare from 2003 as co-founder of VitaValley Foundation. Serves on the Board of Directors for several national and international software companies.
Marcel Verhoeve, Chief Technology Officer
Responsible for the technology roadmap of VitalHealth Software, including product and solution development. Has a long track record in the software industry, including the management of large (ERP) software engineering projects and teams. Also led the development of small and agile web based technology software products. Owned and operated a software development company from 2001 to 2006.
Michiel van Genuchten, Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Ir. Michiel van Genuchten has managed software businesses and teams for over 20 years in various roles, including general manager and VP of Digitalization, in consumer electronics, mobile phone and the medical industries. His career includes positions at world market leaders such as Philips Electronics in The Netherlands and Straumann in Switzerland. He also founded and managed his own software company in the 1990’s focused on 'groupware' and was part-time professor in software management at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2002 through 2011. He has been a member of the editorial board of IEEE Software since 2009.
Lester Wold, Chief Medical Officer
Responsible for advising the company on long-term market strategies for care collaboration, disease management, specialty EHR applications, and patient engagement. Prior to his retirement from Mayo Clinic, Dr. Wold served in various leadership roles over the course of his career, including as Chair of Mayo's Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Mayo Collaborative Services Board, and Mayo Medical Ventures Board. He was also a member of the Board of Trustees of Mayo Clinic Foundation.
Eric Hughes, General Manager and Senior Vice President, VitalHealth Software Corp.
Responsible for US/Canada strategy and operations for VitalHealth Software Corp. Hughes has nearly twenty years of professional experience in health IT as well as global experience in new markets and business development. His career includes leadership positions at several companies, such as Opsware/HP and HealthUnity, where Hughes has shown a passion for sales strategy and building relationships with customers and partners.
Rainer Feinen, Managing Director, VitalHealth Software Deutschland GmbH
Physician and Medical Informatics Specialist, responsible for VitalHealth Software Deutschland GmbH. Rainer has over 20 years of experience in the German and international eHealth and general healthcare market. He has held management positions at several organizations, such as InterComponentWare and CompuGroup. From 2008 through 2010, Rainer was Chief Medical Officer at InterComponentWare USA.
Gaurav Maini, Managing Director, VitalHealth Software India Pvt. Ltd
Responsible for the Operations of VitalHealth Software India Pvt. Ltd. including software development and sales. Over 15 years of experience in the Software Industry with over a decade in the Healthcare industry. With an engineering degree in Computer Science from VJTI, Mumbai and a Masters from Texas A&M, Gaurav started his career with enterprise software company Baan and then moved to enterprise healthcare software giant, Epic, in USA where he was responsible for multiple areas notably product development of CPOE and Decision Support products.

N.F. (Nicholas) LaRusso - Chairman
Dr. LaRusso is a gastroenterologist and Professor of Medicine and Biochemistry/Molecular Biology at Mayo Clinic. He is the founder and former Medical Director of the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation (CFI). Previous positions he held at Mayo Clinic included Medical Director for the Center for Connected Care (CCC), Medical Director of the Center for Innovation (CFI), Vice Chair and Chair for Research of the Department of Medicine (DOM) and Chair of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. In addition to many distinguished accomplishments at Mayo Clinic, Dr. LaRusso was a member of the American Association of Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physician, as well as president of both the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA). He is currently the Charles H. Weinman Endowed Professor of Medicine and a Distinguished Investigator of the Mayo Foundation. Dr. LaRusso was closely involved in the founding of VitalHealth as a joint venture between Mayo Clinic and the Noaber Foundation.
M. (Matthijs) Blokhuis
Mr. Blokhuis is Managing Director of the Noaber Foundation and responsible for the management of the investments and projects of Noaber Ventures and Noaber Philanthropy, and boardmember on behalf of Noaber in several companies active in IT Healthcare. Since 2005 Mr. Blokhuis has been acting as investment manager of the Noaber Foundation and as such involved with the investments of Noaber Ventures. Prior to Noaber, Mr. Blokhuis has been working as consultant for Accenture en Royal Haskoning. He has a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Utrecht.
J.P. (Jelle) Roodbeen
Mr. Roodbeen started his professional career at KPMG about 20 years ago working in national and international operating audit teams for clients in various sectors. In 2002 he switched career to retail and was appointed finance manager of Kruidvat Beheer BV, the holding company of the health and beauty labels Superdrug, Kruidvat and ICI Paris XL. Later in 2002, the De Rijcke family sold the retail business to AS Watson, the retail division of Hutchinson Whampoa. After this transaction, Mr. Roodbeen joined the newly set up family office of the De Rijcke family, which today consists of approximately 20 investment professionals and support staff. As a CFO and member of the management team, Mr. Roodbeen oversees all investment activities of the family office and has board positions at a number of participations.

J.G.P. (Paul) Baan
Co-founder of the Baan Company and founder of private equity investment firm the Vanenburg Group. From 1996-2000, Mr. Baan was Chief Executive Officer of the Vanenburg Group. Current founder and chairman of the Noaber Foundation and George Avenue, both focused on social venturing investments and philanthropy, specifically in the areas of assistive technology, healthcare, education, culture and community projects.
H.G.B. (Henk) van den Breemen
Decorated former Chief of Defense Staff for the Dutch Armed Forces. During his career Mr. Van den Breemen has represented the Netherlands in various international panels, such as NATO, WEU and CSCE. In the past several years Mr. Van den Breemen has been active as chairman, board member and advisor at several companies and foundations, such as the Advisory Board of the Noaber Foundation. He has considerable expertise in leadership management and restructuring issues within large organizations.
P. (Pieter) de Rijcke
Mr. De Rijcke is chairman of De Hoge Dennen, a private equity investment firm of the De Rijcke family in the Netherlands. De Hoge Dennen was started after the family sold its stake in international retail businesses such as Netherlands based De Kruidvat (personal care products) and grocery chain Groenwoudt, as well as Belgium based ICI Paris XL (perfumes and lotions).
