Vital for COPD-Asthma is VitalHealth’s second integrated care network solution, developed in close cooperation with renowned lung specialists. The solution was launched during the CAHAG congress in Utrecht (N) on November 8, 2007.

Vital for COPD-Asthma enables the creation of a complete and well-organized electronic medical record for the treatment of COPD and Asthma. All disciplines involved in the care process are supported. Also the patients themselves can participate in the process through a self-management portal. The solution is based on accepted and published guidelines and treatment protocols.

Just like our Diabetes solution, Vital for COPD-Asthma supports optimal integrations with existing Physician Information Systems based on the OZIS messaging standard. These connections are powered by the flexible integration engine of the VitalHealth Platform, which provides an open architecture that can easily be integrated with other national or international standards and technologies. Next to that the solution supports integrations with spirometer devices from Welch-Allyn and Spida.
