EigenRegie
Integration between Mental Care Patient Portals
VitalHealth is creating an integration between the "Eigen Regie" (In Control) and "SamenKeuzesMaken" (Shared Decision Making) portals for mental care patients. Both applications put the patient at the heart of the care process, with care providers providing support in a patient self-care setting.
Eigen Regie
Eigen Regie is a web-based portal supporting patients suffering from serious psychiatric issues. It also provides support to patient's immediate circle of family and/or friends. Eigen Regie enables patients to research their condition, communicate with other patients online, and offer mutual support. The portal enables patients to take a more active ownership role in their care process, encouraging them to make their own choices and decisions.
SamenKeuzesMaken
The SamenKeuzesMaken application is based on a US developed application, called Shared Decision Making, for treatment of patients with a psychiatric condition. Several mental health institutions in the Netherlands (GGZ Noord Holland and HEE) have adopted the Shared Decision Making solution. Patients are given access to a web-based questionnaire about medication and treatment in preparation of a consult with their care provider. Patients are supported by HEE resources that have gone through the same experiences as the patients themselves. Several mental healthcare facilities in the Netherlands have adopted Shared Decision Making as a standard part of their services portfolio.
Integration with Eigen Regie
VitalHealth Software is creating an integration between Eigen Regie and SamenKeuzesMaken. Eigen Regie users will be able to log into Shared Decision Making for seamless access to relevant questionnaires, avoiding the need to log in twice into separate systems. The integration of the SamenKeuzesMaken application will further enrich the self-support environment. The initiators of Eigen Regie (GGz Breburg, GGz WNB, Trimbosinstituut, Julius Center and VitalHealth) are pleased to be able to provide this valuable addition to the existing solution.
