VitalHealth to Demonstrate Meaningful Use Certified EHR at MGMA 2011

Next-Generation EHR Provider to Outline Product Roadmap and Provide Updates from Beta User Program Including Lessons Learned as the Industry Moves Beyond Stage One Meaningful Use

VitalHealth Software, a leading provider of web-based software solutions for health management, today announced that it will demonstrate its recently ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certified Electronic Health Record (EHR), VitalHealth EHR 1.8, at the 2011 Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) conference. VitalHealth will also share its updated product roadmap for the EHR's general availability and provide an update on its beta testing program. VitalHealth executives at MGMA will focus on EHR innovation, adoption and implications for the modification of their solution as the industry moves beyond Stage One Meaningful Use (MU).

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently reported that over 100,000 physicians and hospitals have now applied for Stage One Meaningful Use incentives, however, many physicians still cite disrupted workflows and loss of productivity as chronic criticisms of most EHR solutions. As an EHR that was designed by and for physicians, and one that looks beyond basic Stage One Meaningful Use requirements to longer term needs, VitalHealth EHR 1.8 stands out as one of the few truly sustainable EHR solutions available today.

"We are thrilled to demonstrate our newly certified EHR for small practices and to confer lessons learned as a result of the feedback we received from the participants of our ongoing beta testing program.", said Arjen Westerink, Director of Business Development, VitalHealth. "The physician input we received during our initial primary research program and as a result of our beta program has allowed us to produce an EHR that meets the unique workflow needs of small practices. Ongoing contributions from physicians will ensure that we are able to continue designing solutions that will not only improve their efficiency, but ultimately the quality of care they can provide."

Designed for small physician practices with fewer than 10 practitioners, VitalHealth EHR 1.8 not only meets, but exceeds, Stage One Meaningful Use requirements, providing all required Core measurements and optional Menu Set objectives for eligible providers. This next-generation EHR was designed to be extremely easy to use in the highly-varied work styles of small practices with significant levels of customization and flexibility. Based on extensive research and designed with intellectual property licensed from Mayo Clinic, the VitalHealth EHR is one of the first EHRs designed for use with an Apple iPad as well as other tablet formats, laptops and desktops.

This year's MGMA conference will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV from October 23 to 26. To see a demonstration of the new VitalHealth EHR 1.8, please visit VitalHealth Software at Booth #518.
