The Diabetic Population in the Middle East is growing rapidly. Consequently, many hospitals are in the process of setting up diabetes clinics. SFH was scouting for Diabetes Management software in early 2008. SFH was in the process of setting up diabetes clinics and identified the need for a Diabetes Management software solution that would be proactive and improve the quality of care for patients suffering from this chronic disease. It was essential for the software to support referrals, since their clinics employ physicians, ophthalmologist and dieticians. Given that SFH already had HIS/EMR solutions implemented, it was mandatory that the chosen solution would be able to integrate seamlessly with their existing solutions. The VitalHealth Platform with its pluggable architecture was easily able to meet their needs. In the meantime the implementation almost has been finalized.
