Positive feedback on Rehabilitation EMR

Sector looking forward to rollout to all 24 rehabilitation centers

Earlier you may have read about the Rehabilitation EMR information day that took place September 2008 in the Galgenwaard Stadium in the Netherlands. At this event each of the attendees was given access to a browser to get a first-hand impression of the basic version of the Rehabilitation EMR. Recently, the Rehabilitation Netherlands organization collected feedback from the attendees. Below a handful of the comments:

‘The EMR looks terrific. It seems easy to use, given that the folder structure resembles the familiar Windows Explorer interface. It has many features, and on first impression it seems very flexible.’
Joost de Bruin, HEAD at De Trappenberg

‘This is cool. I just noticed a test that I often use, at least several times a month. The layout is very recognizable, since the paper version of the score form looks just about the same. Very nice!’
Nina Dammers, speech therapist at Rijndam

‘My initial reaction was: let’s get rid of the paper medical records, and transfer everything from the Ecaris system into this EMR! I am very impressed with the user friendly design.’
Liesbeth Tienkamp, planner at Blixembosch

‘The various IT systems will need to be able to easily exchange information. This communication will be routed through the so called ‘national exchange’, part of the national AORTA IT infrastructure. I don’t foresee any issues here with the Rehabilitation EMR, as the technology used is an excellent fit and state-of-the-art.’
Gert-Jan van Boven, director NICTIZ
