IZIT Twente and VitalHealth Software enter into agreement
VitalHealth selected as partner for care delivery network solutions in Twente
The partnership between IZIT (organization for Healthcare IT in the Twente region) and VitalHealth Software has been formalized with a mutually signed agreement. The agreement concerns the cooperation between the partners in developing and implementing IT solutions for care delivery networks.
The agreement focuses on optimal integration between existing systems, such as integrations between Hospital Information Systems and Integrated Care Delivery Network systems. This will be based on the recently published OZIS message definitions, with communication through the regional exchange. IZIT and VitalHealth will also cooperate on the development and rollout of new solutions for care delivery networks, such as self-management for diabetes and COPD patients.
Advantages for care groups
Based on the agreement, care groups can use the services of IZIT to easily adopt VitalHealth solutions. This will ensure that care groups in the Twente region receive exclusive benefits, a well implemented Service Level Agreement and facilitation and guidance by IZIT for the implementation of delivery network solutions. It eliminates the need for care groups to invest time and resources in contract negotiations and agreements.
Partnership between IZIT and VitalHealth
IZIT and VitalHealth have been working together for some time on the realization of care delivery network support in the Twente region. The cooperation started in 2008, after IZIT completed an extensive vendor evaluation with primary care groups in the region, resulting in the selection of VitalHealth as the preferred partner.
Solutions for care delivery networks
The first solution delivered to the Twente region concerned the care for diabetes patients. Since then, IZIT has been a catalyst in the rollout of care delivery network solutions in the regions around the cities of Almelo and Enschede. Next to that, integrations have been created to offer the VitalHealth solutions through IZIT’s Care Portal. IZIT is actively involved in several VitalHealth development projects.
