Accenture and VitalHealth Software establish partnership agreement
Agreement will lead to new EMR for mental health sector
Accenture and VitalHealth Software have entered into a partnership agreement that will focus on the joint creation of a VitalHealth Platform based Electronic Medical Record solution for the mental health sector.
The main objective of the new EMR will be to offer a complete set of medical record functionalities for mental health facilities, focusing on primary care settings with a seamless handoff to second line care. This will be the first EMR to comply with the REPD reference model established by the GGZ (Mental Health Care) organization in the Netherlands. The VitalHealth Platform has a proven track record in the mental care sector, and can easily meet the EMR needs of the mental health institutions, making the care process significantly more efficient. Given their deep and broad experience with the adoption of healthcare solutions, Accenture’s role in the partnership will be to contribute to the development of the solution, as well as managing and executing the implementation and integration of the solution at mental care facilities.
“Many mental care institutions are at the point of requiring a new EMR solution. The mental care sector needs an innovative, web-based solution that fits the specific needs of the institutions in this market, and can grow along with new IT developments”, says Laurens van der Tang, CEO of VitalHealth Software. “In Accenture we have found the right partner that can further develop and translate our offering into a practical healthcare solution that truly supports mental health facilities in their core activities, with optimal use of the benefits offered by the EMR.”
