On June 16th 2008, Vital for Diabetes 3.0 was released. This is an important release that contains many enhancements based on user feedback, and further improves on the breadth and depth of support offered to all participants in an integrated care network, such as the physician, physician’s assistant, dietician, endocrinologist, optometrist and diabetes nurse.
The new releases offers a range of reports for caregivers, such as an overview for a family medicine physician of the diabetes patient population, showing which patients also have eye-, foot- or heart problems. The reports list the total number of patients per physician, along with results and averages for e.g. HbA1c and BMI.
Vital for Diabetes is now also available in a “standard edition”, particularly suited for individual physicians or physician groups that want to improve diabetes care, but do not participate in an integrated care network. The standard edition is based on the same proven diabetes care protocol, but does not include patient self-management, or referrals inside our outside the care network.
Besides functional enhancements this release benefits from several performance enhancements, resulting in an even faster user interface experience.
