Legally, VitalHealth Software is a US enterprise, a corporation, with a
board consisting of both Dutch and American individuals. The head
quarters is based in the Netherlands. The enterprise has two home
markets: the Netherlands and America.
Q: Why did the Mayo Clinic, as a world-famous American organisation, choose to collaborate with a small Dutch enterprise?
A:
Mayo recognised in VitalHealth Software a unique combination of
innovation, knowledge, entrepreneurship and experience. In the course
of time a close relationship developed at all levels of the respective
organizations, which eventually led to the establishment of VitalHealth
Software as a joint enterprise.
Q: Why does VitalHealth Software aim at two home markets, i.e. the Netherlands and America?
A:
The Dutch market is too small to develop sufficient critical mass.
Moreover, the simultaneous focus on two markets forces the business to
continue working on internationally applicable, generic and flexible
applications.
Q: Is VitalHealth Software a profit-driven enterprise?
A:
VitalHealth Software is a profit-driven enterprise which was set up by
the shareholders in order to realize a social goal. These shareholders
– which are themselves foundations – plan to reinvest the money that is
earned from VitalHealth Software in social projects. In addition,
VitalHealth Software aims to make its solutions available free of
charge to developing countries in support of the struggle against
diseases such as AIDS.
Q: What is the relationship between Vita Valley and VitalHealth Software?
A:
In a formal sense the relationship is limited to the fact that
VitalHealth Software and Vita Valley have a strategic partnership. In
practice, there is a close relationship. The idea for VitalHealth
Software arose within Vita Valley. VitalHealth Software is established
on the Vita Valley campus. Some partners of Vita Valley are involved
with VitalHealth Software as pilot users or as knowledge parties.
