Robert A. Rizza, M.D. (Chairman)
Previously Chair of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism & Nutrition. Director of Research for Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, also President Elect of the American Diabetes Association. Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic of Medicine. Dr. Rizza's interests include Diabetes & Metabolism Clinical Service Group: Diabetes Mellitus; Hypoglycemia; Insulin Resistance; Obesity and Lipid Disorders.



Steven A. Smith, M.D.
Associate Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic of Medicine in Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and Epidemiology. Medical Director of Patient Education at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Consultant in Metabolic/Lipid Disorders/Hospital Clinical Service Groups; Joint Appointment in Section of Health Care Policy and Research, Department of Health Services Research. Dr. Smith's interests include diabetes and health services research. The major focus of his research has been health systems, telemedicine strategies in communication across the continuum of patient care, and relationships between patient / generalists / specialists, and information systems.



Rajeev Chaudry, MBBS, MHP
Physician in the division of Primary Care at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and currently serves as the Practice Chair for the Division. Involved in chronic disease management and strategies to improve Adult Preventive services at the Mayo Clinic. Assistant Professor of Medicine in Internal Medicine at the Mayo School of Medicine. Leads the Mayo Clinic's GDMS (Generic Disease Management System) team which provides consultation for VitalHealth Software development for GDMS.



Dirk Jan Bakker
Surgeon, former Head (of the Centre for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) of the Academic Medical Center of the University of Amsterdam (NL). Following his retirement he has been and is active in numerous committees, mainly related to medical issues. He is also active in the management of VitaValley and a special advisor to the Noaber Foundation.
